Practical information

Voedsel Anders conference, 12 and 13 February 2016

As at the first conference two years ago, we expect a fully booked conference with 750 visitors each day. This is very promising for the exchange of ideas and initiatives around fair and sustainable food and agriculture systems. Have you registered? If so, welcome! Here you can find information about a number of practical matters.

Program

At the registration desk in Orion building, you will receive your badge, the list of participants and the program booklet. The Plenary sessions take place in the main hall of the Orion building. Please be on time, so that you have a place in the main hall. Registration is possible from 11.30 h onwards. Should the room be full, then there is an adjacent room where you can watch the afternoon plenary on a big screen.

Because of the high number of participants, we would like to ask you to make a choice from the available workshops at the registration desk. Please arrive on time at the workshop of your choice, to increase the chance of being able to attend it.

Are you only coming to the debate on Friday night? You are welcome from 19.30 onwards. Coffee and tea will be waiting for you!

Additional program on Saturday

On Saturday, there will be an additional program parallel to the Voedsel Anders conference. This will take place in the adjacent Forum building, Reclaim the Seeds will take place (the 5th edition of this major seeds fair) as well as a film program and an info and producers market. There is also a special children’s programs. If you wish to make use of the children’s program please tell us in advance via an e-mail to info@voedselanders.nl. You can visit these additional events in Forum during the long lunch break.

Location

The conference will take place at the Orion building of the Wageningen University. There is ample parking space around the Orion and it can also be reached easily through public transport. Due to a lack of space in Orion on Friday some workshops will take place in the adjacent Forum building. Therefore make sure to look closely where the workshop of your choice will be held.

Language

Some speakers and panelists will speak in English, others in Dutch. The entire plenary program will be interpreted from Dutch into English and vice versa. If you do not speak one of these languages, you can pick up a receiver at the entrance of the main hall. There will be no translation during the workshops. The workshops announced in Dutch in the program booklet, will be in Dutch. The workshops announced in English, will be held in English.
